Some people have asked me how I started my weight loss. My first few months in the blog archive explain it all.

my CREATIONS

Following Elder Uchdorf's advice (see post below) I copied pictures from Archie comics and a story book of my son's. I think Cartooning is the way to go because there is no shading and no perspective stuff. Now If I can just draw a duck...

Carrot - UMMMMM...A duck? Really get out an archie and try it is really not so hard. I can't believe how easy it is. You are already a tallented artist you don't even need the help, but you will be surprised how simple Archies are. A tiny triangle and a curved line for a nose, a bent oval for the mouth, Commas with periods and eyelashes for the eyes. pretty simple

I'm like anonymous. Years ago I drew a bag of flour for a lesson in Primary and the kids thought it was a cat???? (I ask you how hard could it be to draw a bag of flour : (

Ooooh! I'm so excited your back to writing. I was telling a friend about your site and how sad I was that you weren't writing anymore. I looked it up to share the link and was excited you see you had posted again. I'm sorry your up a few pounds but I'm thrilled to be able to read about your ups and downs as I try to lose more than a few pounds.

Your drawings look great to me. I can hardly draw a stick figure.

Jody

Thanks for all the inspiration!

I was reading Carrot's blog and she mentioned that you were blogging again. I'm so glad...I missed you!

I have been running lately with my daughters. We found a plan that gets increasingly harder with walking/runnning intervals...we can run 8 minutes now! We're hoping to run a 5K in November, but even if we don't make it then, we're still moving along. I write that because one of your first posts I read was about you running a marathon and it was raining and you had that little problem, but you kept going! That was so inspiring to me.

Keep up the good work...losing weight and blogging!

I'm new to the blogger world, just found yours; laughed outloud about your inspiration for the cartoon drawings. Your creativity is fabulous, your sweet empathy remarkable, your humor contagious. Best of all, I see in my mind your sweet smile and deep dimples as deliver a zany zinger! BUT while I don't want to stifle your new artform, I suggest you don't contribute it to The Ensign's "How I was inspired by a G.A.'s talk at Conference" column. The effects in the aftermath could bring on a food binge.... I love you! Auntie Carol
